Tips For Overcoming Procrastination

As you can imagine and probably know from personal experience, when you procrastinate it not only affects the task but it can also affect you emotionally and bring on feelings such as guilt, inadequacy and stress.

There are many reasons that you may procrastinate. Poor time management, anxiety about a certain task and being bored by a certain task are just a few of the reasons that people procrastinate. In the end, procrastination usually leads to more stress.

Here are some tips for overcoming procrastination and building momentum:

Can you approach the task differently? Always be mindful of how you approach tasks. Ask yourself: Do I need to use a different technique? Will a new way of approaching this task make me feel better? How can I get some JOY out of starting this project? We all work in different ways and are inspired by different things. Find what works well for you and go with it.

Be sure you have what you need: Make certain that you have the right information, equipment and energy level to enable you to complete the task.

Plan, plan, plan: Did I say Plan? The time we spend in preparation and planning to see a task to completion is imperative. Set a time limit for yourself. Put a deadline on your tasks and work to reach that deadline.

Break it down: Big projects can feel overwhelming. Break them down into the smaller subparts. You'll get more done if you can do it piece by piece. Even the most dreadful tasks can be done in small increments.

Boost yourself up: Give your own motivation a good boost. Trust in your strengths. Take a moment to reflect upon other tasks that you have accomplished and feel good about! Keep reminding yourself that you can be successful!

Reward yourself: Celebrate and let yourself enjoy the completion of your tasks (large or small). It is important to never minimize your accomplishments.

Overcoming procrastination can be done and it usually involves both better organizational and time-management. You can start overcoming procrastination now and in the process, feel much better about yourself. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be surprised at how much joy, exhilaration and sense of accomplishment is on the other side of procrastination.

Truth Of The Day

His Word reveals the truth so clearly. But we will not misuse nature to evade the full revelation of God in His Word. In fact we cannot get away from Him after all. It is clearly why this message in the Bible concerns each one of us most intimately, whether we are listening or not. But the truth which is the Word will always remind us of guilty breaking the commandment, to love God above all and our neighbour as ourselves.

To Hear The Voice Of God Today

Every great man and woman are marked by the ability to hear and recognize the voice of God,hearing and doing the things which has made them great by God speaking his words into them.
Let us think about this, if people of old will hear the voice of God and do it, by doing those things that has kept the world till now, then how about us who are enjoying the peck of advance in nature?
Of-course all of us must have heard something mortivating us to join this special group, atleast you must have considered the ability in us to produce in fully the words of God which has always remind us of :

i) What we are going to do here on earth.
ii) What we are supposed to do about it.
iii) How we are supposed to do it.

Isn't the reason why God said "My Sheep Hear My Voice, And I Know Them, And The Follow Me" , believing you me that some folks will understand this "Sheep", while some will say God was talking to mere sheep belonging to goat species.
I'm not trying to preaching to you, but I said God has not stopped talking and revealing himself to his people.

Or let us see pratically some ways in which we can begin to hear the voice of God.

i)Let us obey him in the little things we already know.
ii)Always expect God to speak to you.
iii)Let us always be in position to hear God voice.
iv)We must listen consistently, morning by morning.
v) Do not listen to words that's contrary to his words.
vi)Keep soft heart.

How to keep soft heart -
a) Being willing to do whatever God tells you before he tells you.
b)Being thankful for what God has done,"A thankful heart is a soft heart".
c)Hold nothing against anyone, for any reason and it includes forgiving yourself.

Cheer!!!.

Political assassination - an old fashion
Related to country: Nigeria

Within the space of two months, two Politicians-all governor aspirants where murdered in Nigeria and one beaten to death.
Let us know :
The rules of youths concerning this dibious act as youth are left to be the leaders of tomorrow.

How can we contribute in any way to stop this evil and to remind our leaders mostly African leaders what true democracy is like.

Do we need to speak out and tell our political leaders we don't want it this way......I'm believing that we youths will always make different to restore Peace, democracy and Love among us and our leaders.
Cheer!
